GPS tracking is a system of devices that allow satellites to precisely locate a GPS enabled device anywhere on earth. Recent advances in the systems that support GPS tracking devices allow them to report a vast array of information including where the GPS tracking device was, how long it was there, where it is currently, and where it is going based upon it’s speed and direction of travel. Some GPS tracking devices also allow for the transmission of additional information such as data from a vehicles on-board-computer offering: engine status, mileage, fuel efficiency, etc…
